About ICICI Bank

ICICI Bank is one of India’s largest private-sector banks, with total consolidated assets of ₹11,242.81 billion as of March 31, 2018. Established in 1955 with support from the World Bank, the bank was created to provide medium- and long-term project financing to Indian businesses.

In 1999, ICICI Bank became the first Indian company and the first non-Japan Asian bank to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Later, in October 2001, ICICI Bank merged with ICICI Personal Financial Services Limited and ICICI Capital Services Limited, strengthening its presence in the financial sector.
